Insurance Agency from the Canaries met with Tony Blair to discuss Climate Change

1st March 2010 - Ralf Wichels, Managing Director of TVT.SL, exclusive agency in Canaries for Zurich Insurance, met today with Tony Blair, former British Prime Minister, in Switzerland. Wichels of German origin but based in the Canaries for more than 20 years, was invited to participate in a small working group with Tony Blair, as part representative of the Zurich Spain Committee.

Ralf Wichels, the “Canarian” sent to Switzerland has expressed the growing concern and the recent impact of Climate Change in Spain in particular the Canary Islands. The exclusive Zurich Agency that he runs has more than 15 years of experience with 3 offices: In Tenerife, in Adeje and Los Cristianos and in La Palma, El Paso.
The former British Prime Minister Tony Blair has been signed by Zurich Financial Services Group (Zurich) as a consultant since January 2008. As part of the agreement, Blair who after leaving Downing Street was named special envoy for the Middle East Quartet (EEUU, the European Union(UE), Russia and the UN) advises on developments and trends in the context of International Politics. Blair is working with Zurich Insurance in the climate initiative.
